I could've married this weekend.
The weather was glorious--slightly overcast without raining and high-60's/low 70's. Perfect for all things Fall. Friday started off with some light dirt-eating outside, a morning bath to remove said dirt, and then a fat nap for the beasties before heading to a squadron Octoberfest. While I always support any event that revolves around beer, I was really most excited about getting to wear flannel finally. God has heard my prayers, and it's finally flannel weather! Woot.

Saturday was spent with us all outside holding hands and putting up Halloween decorations together as a happy family. Just kidding. The kids spent most of the morning hiding in nooks and crannies of our yard and inducing panic attacks in us, as well as un-decorating everything I put out. I don't have high hopes for Christmas. After they went down for naps, I went in beast mode and cleaned and mopped the floors. There aren't many things I relish more (and rarely see) more than a clean floor. Then I lit a Fall candle and soaked in the serenity of a clean home and sleeping babes. We even had time to make Autumn Sangria and watch the UGA game, which I immediately regretted (the game, not the booze). It was a real stinker and not worth re-capping. So I kind of stopped watching around half time and whipped up some sweet-and-spicy pumpkin soup that we cried tears of disappointment into.
The weather got a bit sunnier on Sunday, so we decided to take the kiddos to the local pumpkin patch. They had a blast rolling pumpkins, taking "hay rides" in wagons, and running away from us through the maze of pumpkins. Seriously, I don't know what is up with their love of running from us lately, but it's not cool. This will not be our only pumpkin patch visit of the season, so we focused this trip solely on getting a few smaller pumpkins to use as indoor decorations.

Bobby had the best time running around and rolling the big pumpkins off of their perches, which resulted in me having to bend over and put them all back (thus flashing my back fat to the other poor pumpkin pickers). And Vivi loved removing her shoes randomly throughout the patch, so I had to hunt for them multiple times, which was like looking for a needle in a haystack. Fun games.
Afterward, we grabbed some Thai food. This marked Vivi's first foray into Thai food, and she dominated it, saying "YUM!" after every bite. She's a girl after my own heart.
Happy Monday, friends!
