Miami Vice

No, we aren't in Miami, but my mind is wandering there after seeing so many bright colors and fun prints everywhere lately. Sky blues, grass greens, bright yellows, and coral-y pinks are so on trend right now (plus flamingos!), and I am in heaven.  I love flamingos so much that Vivi's room features many flamingos, including this print, a stuffed flamingo that she sleeps with, and this adorable book. Along with the flamingos, I'm loving all the pineapples, crazy birds, and palm trees that are sprouting up everywhere! Here are just a few of my favorites:

I love that little fringe swimsuit so much that Vivi may be sporting it soon. And I recently purchased these cork wedges that are SO comfortable. They're a lot less racy that I would have chosen pre-motherhood (and they're by Aerosoles, which I have always considered to be a geriatric brand), but I finally had to accept that I just can't chase after Bobcat in 5-inchers. So I settled for these (they're a respectable 3.5 inches), and they are stupidly comfortable. They have that soft bed that is great for feet, and with the platform, they end up not feeling tall at all. I think I'll be able to chase after the beasties all Summer in these. And bonus points for the neutral cork that blend in with my skin and *hopefully* help to make my sad legs a little longer looking. I need all the help I can get. 

A few other similar pieces in this Miami-esque vision that I just can't take my eyes off of include this adorable ruffle dress, this festive little palm tree romper, and this colorful swimsuit. It's so hard to narrow my shopping cart down, but I'm in the process of snagging this sassy toucan romper for Vivi at this very minute.

But for now she's sporting this festive coral bikini.

We are looking forward to a fun but busy weekend of splashing, cake baking, baby-shower-hosting, and spending a lazy Sunday afternoon at the pool. And the best part of today: Daddy comes home! Hooray!
