We have spent the
past couple of days getting ourselves in the festive spirit. We haven’t done
anything crazy, like pulling out the tinsel just yet, but we may or may not
have already watched Elf.
Twice.
Okay, three times.
Three, that’s it.
After careful
planning and much thorough research, we I have put together our Christmas lists.
Still no word on anything Alex would like, per usual. Men are the most
difficult creatures on the face of the earth to shop for. I can still handle
Bobby, thank God.
No, I don't intend on actually having all of these items under our tree. It's just a wish list.

Christmas has taken
on a whole new meaning since having children. It’s all about them. Despite my
own ambitious Christmas list, I genuinely don’t care if I don’t have a thing
for myself under the tree. Well, except for those glittery Kate Spade earrings.
Those are just a necessity.
It’s funny, though,
when you are picking out toys for your children, and you really get excited
about revisiting these toys for yourself. I love the Land of Nod for toys. They
have a great selection of unique and slightly-retro toys, and a lot of them are
wood instead of plastic.
Luckily our new
flannel sheets arrived just in time for the polar vortex to hit. The high
temperature was around 47 degrees. In Florida. In November. It’s pretty nuts. I
am enjoying the cool snap, because it is making the holiday season seem real.
You can wear flip flops at Thanksgiving most years down here, so we are taking
advantage of the weather. We woke up and make hot chocolate.
Hysterical! Love Bobby's list...good for me to see what boys like for this time next year #clueless
